Securing Affordable, Reliable, Clean and Efficient Energy Solutions for Wisconsin.
About us
The Wisconsin Conservative Energy Forum (WISCEF) is a vehicle for individuals, organizations, and businesses to join the conservative conversation about Wisconsin’s energy future. We believe that an “all of the above” energy policy must be pursued by increasing our state’s commitment to reducing energy waste and developing “Wisconsin-grown” clean energy resources. Leveraging Wisconsin’s transition to clean and renewable energy will stimulate our economy, lower electricity costs, protect our national and grid security, reduce pollution, and improve the public health for all Wisconsinites.

Last week, WISCEF attended a hearing for the new community solar bill introduced by Senator Duey Strobel and Representative Scott Krug (AB258). This bill represents a significant step in making solar energy not just a privilege for a select few, but a feasible and accessible option for average Wisconsinites and small businesses by removing upfront costs associated with installation. As over 20 other states allow community solar, solar energy is in demand nationwide. It's time for Wisconsin to cut the red tape and allow community solar in our state. https://shorturl.at/agyA8 #CommunitySolar #Solar #CleanEnergy

As 2023 ends and 2024 begins, let's look back on the successes with solar energy generation in the US last year. According to the latest report by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), there was a record addition of 33 gigawatts of production capacity in 2023, marking a remarkable 55% increase compared to 2022. In Q3 of 2023, the U.S. solar industry already added an impressive 6.5GW of electric generating capacity, primarily driven by a surge in residential solar installations. Although growth is anticipated to ease in 2024 due to economic challenges, these achievements signify a flourishing future for clean energy. #SolarEnergy #CleanIsRight #RenewableEnergy

A new community solar project in southwestern Wisconsin, the Bluff Prairie Community Solar Farm, is set to benefit low-income households by providing renewable energy opportunities. A significant portion of the solar array's subscriptions will be directed to low-income households, funded by the Public Service Commission's Office of Energy Innovation. This move is expected to reduce energy costs for households, enabling them to allocate funds to other essential needs. #CommunitySolar #Solar #RenewableEnergy
