Capacity, professionalism, and continuity: elected officials recognizing these benefits (and more) of a professional manager or administrator is outstanding. Our profession brings all of these to the communities in which we serve. By creating a city administrator position in a community, the elected officials are generating an opportunity to hire an expert to handle the routine administrative tasks so they can focus on policy and community engagement. A city administrator can be a city’s partner in progress. Ready to explore a professional local government manager for your community? We're here to guide you through the process. Connect with WCMA and our Senior Advisors to explore what it would look like in your community. Check the comments for resources and information. https://lnkd.in/gxwBDp-4

WCMA started with a new board of directors as of July 1. We would be remiss if we did not thank our colleagues who have dedicated their time to our organization in the past year - especially Gaylene Rhoden, the 2023-2024 President. This board was extremely active and led efforts to revamp the bylaws, incorporate in the State of Wisconsin, perform a secretariat search, had two extremely successful conferences, and met the mission to promote our profession in the great Badger State!
