It’s as easy as that. We tend to blink half as often as normal when looking at a screen. Make a conscious effort to close your lids and keep your eyes from drying out. * Use artificial tears when you need extra moisture. * Look up, up and away! Give your eyes a break when you are logging a lot of screen time. Look up from the screen and away at an object in the distance. * Adjust the brightness and contrast on your screen. The ADA Morning Huddle reports on a new review finding that dental hygienist may be among the top 10 most desirable jobs in the U.S. Investigators examined Google searches for 105 jobs over a one-year period, according to a report from Becker’s Dental + DSO Review. They then compared the data with state population information. The investigators found that dental hygienist ranked in the 10th position with about 22,300 searches, following realtor, travel agent, firefighter, nurse, ultrasound technician, electrician, therapist, pharmacist and paralegal. The findings highlighted the increasing demand for dental services and qualified dental hygienists. Here in Wisconsin, the WDA worked to secure $20 million in state funding to establish and grow dental hygiene training programs at Wisconsin technical colleges - so there are more opportunities than ever! #
