Professor Ann Terlaak, whose research is interested in the role of organizational learning and adaptation in the context of sustainability and environmental management, shared her insights, exploring the relationships between sustainability and the business world.     📈 Faculty Feature: Dr. Charlie Trevor, Professor of Management and Human Resources & Ruth L. Nelson Chair in Business at WSB "Charlie emphasizes the importance of ethics and thoughtful considerations in every deal, helping us grow into more responsible and effective business leaders." - Phillip Glapa, MBA '25, on Professor Charlie Trevor Professor Trevor's research focuses on employee turnover, particularly of the employees that companies can least afford to lose, layoff effects on human capital, and the determinants and consequences of employee compensation. Professor Trevor was recently featured on our podcast, where he shared more about his research endeavors. Give it a listen: https://bit.ly/48nDKYQ Charlie teaches courses on negotiations, employee compensation, research methods, and HR systems. He received his Ph.D. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. His negotiations course has been a standout for MBA student Phillip Glapa, who described it as "both complex and incredibly engaging," and a class he "truly looks forward to attending every week."     This month, we're featuring the Nicholas Center for Corporate Finance & Investment Banking (CFIB). ⬇ Keep reading to learn more about how the MBA in Corporate Finance & Investment Banking can propel your career.  MBA students specializing in CFIB pursue one of three in-demand career pathways: Strategic Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or New Venture Finance. During the program, students build essential finance skills through a rigorous academic curriculum, applied consulting experiences, and through mentorship from the Nicholas Center’s network of finance leaders. When you pursue your MBA in CFIB at the Wisconsin School of Business, you will develop an extensive, well-connected network. With an involved Advisory Board of industry professionals and alumni, students benefit from career advice and internship placements, as well as a high placement rate for full-time employment upon graduation. The Nicholas Center also offers a space in Grainger Hall for CFIB students to gather, study, and network. Nicholas Center leadership is here to guide students on their journeys through academic and industry excellence. This year, the Nicholas Center launched a new Current Topics in Finance course designed to expose CFIB students to applied learning experiences, case studies, industry speakers, career treks and professional development workshops. This course features seasoned finance executives at global companies who share their industry knowledge and expert insights into the career pathways that our MBA students are pursuing.
