Today is #WhatsGoodWednesday where we highlight good-news stories within our Wisconsin hospitality scene. Milwaukee chef and restaurateur Dan Jacobs will cook up a commencement speech for the University of Wisconsin-Madison this winter. Jacobs was a finalist on "Top Chef: Wisconsin" earlier this year, making it to the finale. He also used his platform on the show to bring awareness to Kennedy's disease, a progressive neuromuscular disorder he was diagnosed with in 2016, to show that differently abled people can accomplish anything they set their mind to. “I want to share the challenges I’ve faced, but also celebrate the journey itself," he told UW-Madison. "Success, for me, will be seeing some heads nodding, some smiles, and maybe a few moments of reflection where they realize that they, too, can overcome whatever life throws at them.”
