Connection. Laughter. Reality checks. Yesterday, I got to meet my marketing specialist Crown Shepherd from Wise Ink Media who is helping me get all. the. things. in order for the release of my book next year. Can I just say how amazing Crown is as a human, writer, and marketing mentor? My biggest takeaway - continue to be you. Protect your energy. If promoting one way drains you, don't do it. Find what feels authentic to you. Isn't that really just great life advice in general? Check out Crown here: https://lnkd.in/gxUxYPhz. #authorlife #author #speaker #coach #authenticleadership #marketingtips #lifetips #thursdaythoughts

Yesterday I met with my project manager Lindsay Bohls with Wise Ink Media for the first time and handed off my almost finished rough draft. Once she decides who my editor will be, I will officially hand off for the content editing portion of this journey, which she prepared me for being the longest part. She is such a joy. As I told her how I would love to get the book out as soon as we can, she smiled patiently and said, "I will hold you to deadlines, but the book will only be what it is meant to be if you allow it the time it needs to become what it is meant to be." Damn it - nod to Mark Twain - she's right. Hope it is cool if I share the journey along the way with you all - it makes it more real, and holds me accountable! Happy Friday! #author #authorlife #writingjourney #fridayfunday #speaker
