October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Did you know that last year, all of the women we served at #WISEPlace experienced domestic violence? Domestic violence is one of the main causes of homelessness for the unaccompanied women we serve. Faced with a scarcity of affordable housing options, long wait times, and financial instability, it can take years for survivors to secure stable housing on their own. Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence. Every October, organizations and individuals unite across the country for a national effort to uplift the needs, voices, and experiences of survivors. #DVAM #domesticviolence

In your spare time, do you like to organize and take inventory of the items that you have in your household? If you do, then we are looking for volunteers like you. We need a volunteer to help us with restocking our shelves at our shelters once a week.
