Today marks the 35th anniversary of Trooper Deborah McMenamin’s line-of-duty death. On October 26, 1989, Trooper McMenamin, 31 years of age and a four-year veteran of the Wisconsin State Patrol, made the ultimate sacrifice when she lost her life while conducting a traffic stop in Eau Claire County. Trooper McMenamin sustained fatal injuries when she was struck by a passing vehicle while returning to her patrol vehicle after making the traffic stop. . . . #NeverForgotten

Today is #MoveOverOrSlowDownDay, and a day to remember why. If you see an emergency vehicle on the side of the road with lights flashing: ⬅️➡️️ Move out of the lane closest to the vehicle. If a safe lane change is not possible, or you are traveling on a two-lane roadway: ⬇️ Slow your vehicle to a safe speed for traffic conditions until completely past the vehicle. . . . #MoveOverOrSlowDownDay
