September 25th, 1954 Channel 8 WMTW had it's first official broadcast! For the last 70 years we've been honored to be there through the biggest stories impacting Maine and our viewers. Our Creative Services team dug through 70 years of history to put this promo together commemorating seven decades of serving Mainers.

A very bittersweet day here at WMTW as we say goodbye to Maintenance tech Dana Woodward! Dana is the definition of a jack of all trades, from everyday needs of the station to building walls from scratch Dana does everything that you could ever need! No project is ever too big! We will miss him greatly and wish him well in retirement!
