The Village Of Long Grove Village Hall (IL) was built in the 1840s, relocated in the 1980s, and is now receiving modernizations that will allow for continued functionality into the future! While responding to the rich history of the building, our Wold team has worked closely with the Village to plan space improvements that will benefit the staff and the community. The City of Becker is receiving an updated expansion of their Police Department & City Hall! The new space will broaden the existing police department for more sufficient space for officers, new public lobby, expanded city office space, support spaces, garage space, and much more. Maury Regional Health Orthopedic Surgical Institute held its groundbreaking and is officially underway in construction! This will be a major construction project for the medical center and we couldn't be more thrilled for the community to have this extended service. The facility improvement plan includes new outpatient surgical suites, 24 private recovery rooms, dedicated orthopedic patient discharge canopy and drive, fully renovated and expanded women’s services, additional floors for future service growth, and much more. Anticipated completion is set for Fall 2025. Tennessee Events! Wold cosponsored a table with Nabholz Corporation for the Franklin Tomorrow, Inc. FrankTalks event this month in Tennessee. Nabholz was the construction manager partner and Wold designed the Franklin Special School District Performing Arts Center where the event was held. A "Report Card for 2023-24 School Year was presented by the Williamson County School Superintendent and Franklin Special School District Director. TN team members Jim Gilliam and Jacob Cherry, AIA attended and exhibited at the TN School Plant Management Association, where we are a vendor partner and had a wonderful time connecting with other industry leaders at the conference. #educationdesign #schoolsupport #architecture #woldae

It was an honor to be a part of the dedication ceremony for the Bemidji Veterans Home last week. Many elected officials and local tribal leaders attended the ceremony including Governor Tim Walz and Senator Amy Klobuchar. The veterans in this area requested the home be designed to feel like a cabin in the woods. "That is why they live in northern Minnesota", they said. Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) Deputy Commissioner Eric Meittunen shared a story that one veteran told him earlier that day; "It was not his home but was absolutely the next best thing to it." The veterans in northern MN will now have a new place to call their home and we are grateful to have been a part of the team to create this place that supports the veterans and honors them for the service provided for our country.

Today we celebrate the Fourth of July and honor those who serve and who previously served our country to fight for our freedom. Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable #IndependenceDay!

It was a fun event at the City of Cottage Grove's Glacial Valley Park grand opening! The park features a modern 4,000 sf building with indoor/outdoor connections, multi-use rentable spaces, and utilizes solar energy systems. The park also includes a playground, recreation activities, beautiful landscapes and connected trails. The geological history of the park was actually created by snow from the melting glaciers and the area of where the building stands is where the Saint Croix River once flowed many years ago.

We are excited to share some photos of the new Preston Veterans Home dedication celebration last week. Multiple leaders attended the dedication event along with Governor Tim Walz.  The project is really making a huge impact on Fillmore County and the surrounding areas. After 7 years of design and construction, 54 veterans have a safe and meaningful place to call home. Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA)
