Waller ISD has recently purchased 143 acres in Jubilee, a master-planned community in Hockley. The multi-school site will feature a new junior high school and a high school. The district has previously purchased land for an elementary school in the community. As the 290 Corridor continues its rapid growth, multiple hospital systems are expanding in the area. HCA's expansion is expected to be completed in spring 2026, Houston Methodist Cypress is set to open in 2025 and Memorial Hermann approved a new $277.5 million tower at its Cypress campus earlier this summer. Americas will move its headquarters from Virginia to the Energy Corridor in March 2025 and develop a 144,000-square-foot facility in Brookshire, as it works to expand its photovoltaic manufacturing footprint in Texas.
