Are you curious about how to measure end-to-end latency for live sports? Then check out the latest #SVTA publication exploring methods to measure end-to-end streaming latency - https://lnkd.in/dmmEXgk9 This significant collaborative effort was made possible by the following contributors within SVTA: Will Penson, Michael Demb, Barry Owen, Christopher Olekas, Dan Drew, Kerry Travilla, Matthew Driscoll, Patrick Gendron, Pieter-Jan Speelmans, Samie Beheydt. Reach out to me - Florence Agboma, Will Penson, Michael Demb, or Jason Thibeault to learn more about the SVTA low latency streaming projects and how you could play a part.  🚀 #lowlatency #livestreaming #livesports #qoe Ahh, and here's what I've learned about leading effectively within industry consortiums, such as the Streaming Video Technology Alliance. It's been an inspiring journey, and I've tagged some of my colleagues who work (or have worked) in similar capacities and consortiums for their input on Dos and Don'ts for success. Dos ✅ Know everyone's motivations for being there to work together. ✅ Look for people driven by your enthusiasm and will to tackle the same issue. ✅ Without stating the obvious, look for people with a real business stake in the collaboration to ensure the interests of every member's company align. ✅ Do not forget to get a consensus on the goals and deliverables and agree on timelines ✅ Have single ownership for a significant piece of work ✅ Find a way to track work items and assign owners to tasks. ✅ Be proactive in the room and get your voice heard ✅ Practise active listening and act on it ✅ Provide the environment and tools for the members' companies to flourish and reach the objectives. ✅ Always check in periodically with the priorities of the other members' companies and see if their business interests are continuously being met.   Don’ts ⭕ Let one person handle everything; this limits innovation. ⭕ Ignore someone's viewpoint because they work for a less-known company or are a "newbie." See you in the comment session for your input on Dos and Don'ts for success Thierry Fautier, Jason Thibeault, Chris Johns, David Daniels, Martyn Lee, Margaret Pinson, David Wood, Joey Parrish, Gwendal Simon, Daniel Silhavy, Glenn Goldstein, Glenn Deen, Anne Aaron, Ioannis Katsavounidis, Alex Giladi, Zhi Li, Juan Pablo Saibene, Philip J Corriveau, Pablo Pérez, Alexis Michael Tourapis, Yoav Gressel
