Empowering professionals to make informed career decisions and be a Voice❤️| I excel at building innovative products using agile methodologies (CSPO)👩💻| MBA Candidate🧑🎓| Big Data & ML📊| Inspiring People💡| SDG 8🌎
This morning, I joined a wonderful session organized by Women In Technology (WIT) . Beyond building innovative products, I truly enjoy engaging in career conversations that empower professionals to make informed decisions. Here are three major takeaways from the session that serve as a continuous reminder: 1. Your resume is static (it can be updated from time to time) and a bit limiting, but your LinkedIn profile is ever-growing. Recruiters always check your profile to gain a more personalized perspective about you. ➡️ I believe LinkedIn is a strategic tool that can shape how potential clients or recruiters perceive you. 2. Share your brand and what makes you different in your role. ➡️ It’s not about bragging but telling your story with humility. 3. Talk about your role, projects, impact, and numbers. It’s important to align your experience with the job requirements. ➡️ Sometimes, recruiters want depth rather than breadth. For instance, if it’s a platform Product Manager role, focus on that and briefly mention how agile processes have helped you succeed—not just your role as a Product Manager. I thought to share these insights and hope they help. A big shoutout to Katia de Melo Galdino for her support and WIT Campus at Georgia Southern 🎉. #learning #professionals #growth

What a great morning we had at our WIT Virtual Forum. Thank you, Patti Dismukes, Chasity Parhm, MBA, Betsy Robinson, and Brittney Simmons, SHRM-SCP, for providing insight from your many years in human resources and the technology industry. Each of these women gave WONDERFUL advice to our audience spanning all over the nation! Here are just a couple of takeaways: 1. Your resume should be submitted in Word format instead of PDF to ensure applicant tracking systems can easily read it. 2. HR professionals often review your LinkedIn profile first, so use it to present your work in the most professional way possible. 3. If you only begin networking when you're job hunting, you've started too late. The roles you'd truly love are often those your network would recommend if they were familiar with your personal brand and story. + so much more. Thank you to our sponsors, including our Forums Title Sponsor, NCR Voyix, for your support! 🗣️ If you attended, comment below something you took away from the conversation. 🗓️ Link to WIT Event Calendar: https://ow.ly/HmGr50T3swM 🧠Link to Become a WIT Member: https://ow.ly/Sqxh50T3swJ 💳 Link to Donate to our mission of Empowering girls & women to excel in S.T.E.A.M from the classroom 👩🏫→ to the boardroom👩🔬 ➡️ https://ow.ly/KnJL50T3swW
