Happy WCCD Women Wednesday! For National Women’s Small Business Month, we’re excited to highlight WCCD member, Ayesha M. Hudson, Founder & CEO of A-Peace, LLC. Ayesha’s 24-year career with the District's Fire & EMS Department and her role as Director of the EEO Office for Prince George’s County Fire & EMS honed her leadership in conflict resolution and community service. She later became a conflict management trainer and executive coach, with a focus on sustainable, resident-centered living. As the founder of A-Peace, Ayesha expanded the company’s rental portfolio and launched Nettie Farm, an urban farm supporting community agriculture. Recently, in partnership with DC Green Bank, she unveiled a 9-unit, all-electric affordable housing project in Ward 8, featuring sustainable materials, rooftop solar, and a wellness space for community education. This development reflects Ayesha’s commitment to building greener, healthier communities. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by WCCD members Yolanda McCutchen, Melissa Lee, CTP, and Courtney R. Battle, featured speakers from DC’s Department of Housing, DC Green Bank, and Amazon, highlighting the importance of green jobs and clean economy initiatives. Ayesha’s journey showcases the power of service, leadership, and a deep commitment to creating lasting change in her community.
