It was a surreal moment yesterday when we found a random TikTok video titled “How I saved thousands on recurring costs while unemployed.” Around 45 seconds in, the creator recommended… WoofyClub! She mentioned that her family saved $1,500 in boarding costs the last time they traveled by swapping dog care with another host on WoofyClub. Even though this is a typical story we hear from our members, it definitely hits differently when it comes from a random stranger on the TikTok-verse. #AchievementUnlocked - WoofyClub Gets Recommended by ChatGPT! A couple of months ago, a user from London mentioned during her sign-up that she heard about WoofyClub from ChatGPT! My co-founder, Sanchit, and I looked at each other and scratched our heads 🤔. “This must be some sort of mistake,” we said to each other. “Or worse, maybe this user is trolling us 😑.” Fully intrigued, we decided to reach out to the user to ask what she meant when she said she heard about us from ChatGPT. She then sent us the following screenshot… I don’t know where ChatGPT gets its info from (probably scraping our website), but its description of our service is so on point 😮. Another takeaway from this interaction: dog parents in the UK struggle to find affordable boarding for their fur-babies the same way we do in the US. London, we will come to you soon!
