💥 EmpowHER Trades: Breaking Barriers and Building Futures 💥 A massive THANK YOU to Oakland Community College for hosting this inspiring event and to Lina Gerchak for bringing together a powerhouse of women who are breaking barriers in male-dominated industries! 🌟Deborah Bayer from WIN was the panel moderator! 🙌 The event showcased trailblazing women like: 🔸 Asia Emery (CNC Machinist, Williams International) 🔸 Catherine Withrow (Lean Manager, Barton Malow) 🔸 Mary Polly (Electrician, Stellantis) 🔸 Mimi N. (Lead Design Release Engineer, General Motors) 🔸 Cynasure R. (Experimental Auto Journeyperson, General Motors) Their stories of resilience, passion, and perseverance were truly inspiring! Together, they reminded us that #BreakingBarriers is possible with the right mindset and support. 💕 This event wasn't just about personal success stories; it was about motivating young women to explore careers in skilled trades, challenging stereotypes, and showing that women belong in every industry. 💪 #ThisisWIN #WomenInTrades #DiversityMatters #BreakingBarriers #EmpoweringWomen #WIN #OCC #TradesLeadership

What makes an event truly successful? Last week’s EmpowHER Trades gave me plenty to reflect on. ✨ Was it the strong attendance? ✨ The inspiring panelists? ✨ Or the vibrant energy in the room? I believe a successful event goes beyond the numbers - it is about #impact that it leaves behind. At EmpowHER Trades all those in the room had the privilege of hearing from #TrailblazingWomen who shared their stories of resilience, passion, and achievement. Their experience reminded us that while every journey is unique, it's about #BreakingBarriers and showing that possibility exists for us all - with the right mindset, determination, and support. I am proud to contribute to the movement that highlights the critical need for diversity in industries where women still remain #underrepresented. If this event inspired reflection, action and growth, then I say the mission was accomplished! 🏆 HUGE thanks to - panel moderator Deborah Bayer, and the panelists Catherine Withrow, Cynasure Ross, asia emery, Mary Polly, Mimi Nguyen for the empowering message, - Beau Everitt and the entire #EMITteam for their support for this event, - my family, friends, former colleagues, employer and educational partners for helping me promote inclusivity, collaboration, and optimism. #ElevateTogether #EmpowHER #LevelUp #BreakingBarriers #WomenInTrades #WomeninConstruction #WomeninEngineering #DiversityMatters #GirlswithPowerTools David Gerchak | Inga Mello | Le'Anna Sosnoski-Miller, B.A. and C.D.F. | Misty Pranga | Jessica Knapik | Mark Blair | Joel Carrier
