Noise may be a problem if you: - Hear ringing or humming in your ears after work - Need to shout to be heard by a coworker nearby - Experience temporary hearing loss when leaving work To help reduce occupational noise-induced hearing loss, the NIOSH Sound Level Meter App, available for iOS, measures workplace sound levels and provides noise exposure guidance.

Unlike other states, North Dakota law does not allow private insurers to underwrite workers' compensation insurance in North Dakota. WSI is the sole provider and regulator of workers' compensation in the state of North Dakota. You will want to be certain you have the proper workers' compensation coverage in place before hiring workers based in North Dakota or before employees begin working in North Dakota. While completely preventing wildfires is impossible, there are things that we can do to prepare in case one does occur. Remind team members to stay updated on warnings through the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and local alerts. Encourage them to create an evacuation plan with multiple routes, pack essentials, and organize important documents. Build an emergency kit and ensure cars are fully fueled. Team members should also be familiar with their evacuation zones and follow authorities' instructions when it's time to evacuate.
