We’re so excited to share that our CEO, Charlyn Moss, has been featured in Denver Business Journal for her remarkable achievement and the impactful work of the Dearfield Fund For Black Wealth! Charlyn, alongside her new home, also launch Working Within, showcasing the power of homeownership in building generational wealth. Through the Dearfield Fund, which provides up to $40,000 in down-payment assistance to first-time Black and African American homebuyers, Charlyn and many others are overcoming the challenges of Denver’s high housing market. A huge thank you to BizJournals for highlighting this important initiative. The Dearfield Fund, supported by JPMorganChase, is making a significant impact by assisting nearly 200 homeowners in Denver and addressing the racial wealth gap. We're thrilled to report on the success of our first-ever ShopBIPOC Happy Hour networking event! 🎉 Last Thursday, BIPOC business owners from across Colorado gathered at Green Spaces in Denver for an evening of connection, community, and celebration. The turnout was fantastic, showcasing the growing strength of our ShopBIPOC community. Hosting at Green Spaces, a BIPOC-owned coworking space and marketplace, exemplified ShopBIPOC's collaborative spirit. This venue, home to many BIPOC-owned businesses, offered an ideal setting for our community to connect, highlighting the initiative's growing reach and impact. Since its launch in Fall 2022, ShopBIPOC has grown to include over 630 businesses, connecting BIPOC entrepreneurs with conscious consumers and institutions. Our CEO, Charlyn Moss, recently attended the 10th Anniversary GlobalMindED Conference, joining an impressive lineup of industry leaders and inspiring students. The conference was a tremendous success, with over 300 students and 800+ leaders coming together to create valuable connections, engage in mentorship, and serve as role models. There was record-breaking attendance this year, and a First-Gen student attendee shared: “Knowing that I am capable of having conversations and learning within an environment with many top executives in their respective fields has instilled in me a new sense of confidence in myself.” A huge thank you to GlobalMindED for creating this incredible platform and to everyone who participated in the Truly Impactful Impact Investing panel.
