We have a vision to see a healthy church in every community of poverty so that communities can be transformed.
About us
95% of church leaders are not trained for formal ministry – and most minister in urban poverty situations. We partner with churches, organizations, and denominations to ensure leaders are empowered to build healthy churches in every community of poverty. Our Core Ministry Programs: Church-Based Seminary The World Impact Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) resources and trains urban church leaders. We provide affordable and accessible seminary-based training for men and women in communities of poverty everywhere. Urban Church Planting Our Evangel School of Urban Church Planting trains Christian workers to plant healthy churches among the urban poor. This training is specifically designed to equip teams to reach under-resourced communities. Prison Ministry With training, men and women who have experienced incarceration can be powerful agents to advance God’s Kingdom in and through your local church. Trauma Healing World Impact’s Trauma Healing Program equips urban ministry workers and leaders to facilitate Bible-based healing groups. Participants can choose to be trained to lead their own healing groups, exponentially expanding the ministry. For more than 50 years, we’ve affirmed the call and vocation of local urban church pastors and ministry leaders who want to transform their cities through the Gospel. Join us in celebrating these beautiful images of God's Kingdom from our team visiting Malawi and Tanzania. "Today, I have seen God's people love each other. The grace for people from different continents, cultures, and languages to love and embrace one another. I have seen friendships begin and blossom, heart-felt prayers for families in pain, and all carried by the hope we have in our loving God." – David Estrada, Sr. Ministry Developer, World Impact Please continue praying for Jesus to be declared and demonstrated during and after this trip. And for safe travels for those traveling both short and great distances.

"We give to so many different things that have no eternal value. So why not give into a ministry that will allow people to have eternal life past this life?" Everything we do here on earth has an eternal reward! Keep up the good work, saints! Watch Tshlaine's story here: https://lnkd.in/gghKtjyv

Redemptive Poverty work demands a delicate balance between poverty work and self-care. Otherwise, you will burn out and stop this important work. That’s why Sabbath is built into all of World Impact’s programs and training. It should be built into your weekly rhythms as well. #spiritualpractices #sabbath #redemptivepovertywork

#CCDAPDX was one for the books! Our President and CEO sums it up perfectly: "There would be no Alvin Sanders without CCDA. This is my 26th(!) year of attendance. At this point in my life, it's a family reunion + investing in others time. It’s my ‘Happy Place’ 😊" Were you at CCDA this year in Portland? What was your biggest takeaway? Tell us in the comments below!

#MondayMotivation: If Christ died for us out of His love and compassion towards us, then we should work out our salvation by serving others with mercy and kindness.

“The majority of our members have experienced tremendous brokenness, pain, and trauma in their life,” Pastor Lorenzo said. “They’re justified in Christ, but they don’t know what to do with the burdens and the wounds they carry.” Read more about how Trauma Healing training has impacted LifePoint Church in the Dallas, Texas, neighborhood of Oak Cliff: https://vist.ly/3mhuuiz
