    Day 2 of the Global Finals featured an insightful discussion between Founder, Chairman and CEO Igor Tulchinsky, members of WorldQuant senior management and the Research organization about the partnership between BRAIN and Research. The 13 finalist teams took to the stage to present their work and answer questions from the judges. The day concluded with a Gala dinner, where the top three winners were announced and awarded medals by Igor.

    Day 1 of the Global Finals kicked off with a warm welcome from Chief Strategy Officer Nitish Maini, followed by an inspiring address from Founder, Chairman and CEO Igor Tulchinsky on his career journey and the importance of BRAIN and the IQC to WorldQuant. During a panel, members of senior management shared insights on fostering a culture of innovation, and the finalists dove into their problem statements. The day wrapped up with a fun welcome dinner and talent show featuring WorldQuant employees.

    WorldQuant BRAIN’s 2024 International Quant Championship has concluded, bringing together more than 37,000 participants from over 5,300 universities across 111 countries, competing for a share of the $400,000 prize pool and roles within the firm. Teams from 13 countries advanced to the Global Finals in Singapore. Congratulations to the winning team from National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan): Chong-Sheng Huang, Wei-Sheng Chen and Yu-Heng Chi. Second place went to Mohan Peddada and Oscar Peña from Johns Hopkins University (USA), while Tertius Raya Prasetya from Bina Nusantara University (Indonesia) and Chung Hei Johnny Chou, Jackson Chan, Yau Tsun Lam and Yuk Shing Cyrus Leung from The Chinese University of Hong Kong tied for third place.
