🔥 🤯 F5's Cloud Connect just released! - You can now easily discover and connect your Cloud VPCs and VNets to F5's Distributed Cloud network! This is super slick and just works. This greatly simplifies hybrid network segmentation, while still giving you a TON of flexibility. 💡The super easy connectivity by itself is impressive, but that's not even what I'm most excited about. 🤔 Wisdom Wednesday: The Power of "Why" & Successful Team Outcomes 🤔 When our teams understand the "WHY" behind a decision you'll have the best chance at success. 🎯 Taking the time to ensure everyone (and I mean everyone) in your org understands the "Why" behind a strategy, process, a hire etc etc - they execute with purpose, passion, and a positive attitude that is contagious. The truth is, clarity fuels motivation. When your team knows the reasoning behind a decision they're more engaged, aligned, and committed to the outcome. They will even help each other see the bigger picture! You can't be with everyone at all times. There will be folks who don't fully understand, or agree, and they might not voice that to you directly. But because you did your best to ensure everyone understands the Why, the folks who do understand will unite the team when you are not there - it's a beautiful thing to watch. 🔑 The *key is to make sure everyone understands how important THEIR role is to the success of the team/company as a whole. It's easy to feel like what you do doesn't matter, especially in larger orgs - head that off and make sure everyone understands. If you can't align someone's work to your vision & mission - they might just be working on the wrong things.. 💥F5 CE support on rSeries (Early Access)💥 This is BIG news and is going to accelerate adoption of F5s Distributed Cloud Multi Cloud/Site networking (MCN) feature. This will allow you to create a logical CE on F5s new rSeries hardware platform! What is a CE you ask? A CE aka "customer edge" is deployed via an OVA that extends F5's distributed cloud anywhere, and I mean anywhere - In a public or private cloud, in your DMZ, or even in your trusted private network. That's right, you can run a customer edge in your private network and control it securely from F5's Distributed Cloud! And now when it's on prem in your DMZ or trusted network you can run it in the new rSeries F5 hardware platform 👀. To really beat a dead horse, I want to make sure you get the "aha moment", that means you will be proxying locally next to your apps from the customer edge, ie your data plane, while the control plane remains as F5's distributed cloud. What's MCN? In short it's a feature in F5's Distributed Cloud that allows you to do site to site, site to cloud, cloud to cloud etc etc connectivity the way it should have always been done, exposing only the apps and or services you need when you need them - securely with a common control plane and a distributed data plane. This makes so much more sense vs managing legacy VPN/IPSEC tunnels to expose whole networks then having to manage manage routes, different wafs, acls etc etc all in different locations & clouds like a crazy person. :) 💡Within your rSeries you can even run the CE alongside a traditional BIG-IP, or BIG-IP NEXT!! 👉Supported on F5 rSeries 5000 and up, running F5OS 1.8.0 and above. 💪 While every other vendor shifted a majority of their focus to software, F5 figured out how to accelerate their software, build their distributed cloud platform (that's taken on mass adoption), and still push their hardware platforms forward. Geoffrey Moore "Zone to Win" for the win 💪 F5 - Ridiculously easy when it should be, and ridiculously flexible when it needs to be. #f5 #distributedcloud #ce #customeredge #worldtechit #wtit WorldTech IT, LLC

🔥 F5 Distributed Cloud Services August 2024 Release 🔥 F5 released a basket full of new features and updates in August, and it's one you definitely want to pay attention to!! The one I'm most excited about is Web Application Scanning (WAS)! WAS is now available within the F5 Distributed Cloud Platform! This is huge news that is going to disrupt web app scanning / pen testing. Anddd if you're a current or new customer this means you'll get web app scanning for 3 apps included in your package! If you ever used other web app scanning / pen testing products in the past I'm sure you've suffered through figuring out the login flows right? Well you don't have to do that anymore, F5's WAS is as close as you can get to 🪄magic, figuring out the login flows for you. It even creates a video you can give to developers to help them identify where exactly the vulnerability lives in your UI/UX. I know, I know, you're skeptical, so was I - if I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it - this actually works, and works really well. What is F5's Web App Scanning? It's an automated solution for penetration testing and reconnaissance of web applications and APIs. This new offering brings External Attack Surface Management (Recon) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (Scan) capabilities to F5's Cloud Platform, enabling you to uncover hidden vulnerabilities and proactively secure your assets with F5's Web App and API Protection services. The WAS feature aside, I'm supper pumped for the early access release of Customer Edge's on F5 rSeries, something we've been helping to test here WorldTech IT, LLC. This will enable multi-cloud / multi-site networking while tying into a F5 appliance for your CE!! Super cool stuff.
