Today on World Entrepreneurs Day, I'm reminded of Obel who I met in Guatemala. It's incredible when God-given potential is unleashed. After Obel lost his arm in an accident, he spent four years isolated at home and depressed. But today he has a thriving tomato business that even supplies local schools. Things began to change for Obel through the support of his pastor and a World Vision staff member who wouldn’t give up on him. Their persistence helped Obel see himself differently — as a beloved child of God with great potential. He also became part of a growers group where farmers can share their experiences and techniques to improve their businesses. Obel received training on how to produce better crops, as well as financial training on saving and investments. The powerful combination of individual ingenuity and hard work paired with community support and faith has been Obel’s recipe for success.

Children’s shoes play a crucial role in supporting World Vision’s work in the U.S. and globally. In the U.S., many children lack well-fitting shoes, leaving their feet exposed to cold and damp conditions. This image captures a heartwarming distribution event where children selected brand new shoes to kickstart the school year. #backtoschool 🌟👟 World Vision USA 📸: Laura R.

Exciting updates from the front lines of child labor prevention! Our Bright Futures project has just completed the first-ever national survey looking into #childlabor in Honduras. Dive into our exclusive interview with Allan Cruz, deputy director of Bright Futures project, to understand what these results mean for the future of children in Honduras. https://lnkd.in/eJkR5uY8 World Vision Honduras
