At Worthington Enterprises, we are committed to leaving the world better than we found it by meeting the needs of today without compromising tomorrow. One approach is landfill waste deviation tactics. In FY24, various initiatives helped us to divert 85% of our total waste. For example, our, Columbus, Jefferson and Westerville plants in Ohio and Paducah, Kentucky, location partnered with a new vendor to recycle waste materials including weld dust, powder paint and steel shot dust. This resulted in a waste-to-landfill reduction of 25,000 pounds and is expected to double in FY25. Scrap rubber reduction at our West Warwick facility reduces landfill waste by more than 145,000 pounds. Our goal is to achieve zero waste for our global manufacturing and distribution sites by 2040. In honor of National Working Parents Day in the United States, we’re spotlighting our CARE employee resource group (ERG) for working parents and caregivers. CARE provides community, resources and access to subject matter experts for employees who may be seeking camaraderie and support in navigating the challenges of work-life balance. This group is one of the ways we’re empowering our employees to thrive and grow by acknowledging there are people outside of work who depend on them and encouraging them to find a healthy balance among their responsibilities. Thank you to our working parents and caregivers throughout the world who give so much time and dedication at work and home. #WorkingParentsDay
