At Worthington Enterprises, we are committed to leaving the world better than we found it by meeting the needs of today without compromising tomorrow. One approach is landfill waste deviation tactics. In FY24, various initiatives helped us to divert 85% of our total waste. For example, our, Columbus, Jefferson and Westerville plants in Ohio and Paducah, Kentucky, location partnered with a new vendor to recycle waste materials including weld dust, powder paint and steel shot dust. This resulted in a waste-to-landfill reduction of 25,000 pounds and is expected to double in FY25. Scrap rubber reduction at our West Warwick facility reduces landfill waste by more than 145,000 pounds. Our goal is to achieve zero waste for our global manufacturing and distribution sites by 2040.
