Revolutionizing Real Estate with Blockchain! After many hours of setting up and testing our environment with my teammates Rishika Akunuru, Khushali Shah, and Shrey Sharma, I’m excited to share our final project for MIS 510: Business Applications of Blockchain at WPI Business School, taught by Professor Daniel Treku. This course provided an excellent opportunity to explore blockchain technology from multiple perspectives while gaining hands-on experience in smart contract development and real-world applications. Our Project: A Blockchain-Based Property Management System: Traditional property management is plagued by inefficiencies, high transaction costs, and fraud risks. Our blockchain-based solution leverages ERC721 NFTs to tokenize property ownership and provides an immutable, transparent, and secure transaction process. ✅Decentralization. ✅Smart Contracts (for automation). ✅Multi-Signature Authentication. ✅Real-Time Valuation (integrated Chainlink Oracles for dynamic pricing). ✅Web3 & MetaMask. Our system is developed and deployed on the Sepolia Test Network. It integrates MongoDB, React.js, OpenZeppelin, and Ethers.js to create a fully functional Web3 application. This project reinforced the practical applications of blockchain in industries like real estate, finance, and supply chain management. (Blockchain technology has the potential to drive significant innovation across various industries). What’s Next? Blockchain is transforming property ownership through fractional ownership, AI-driven compliance, and DeFi-based mortgages. As adoption grows, its impact on financial and real estate markets will only expand and we are excited to witness this transformation.
