It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved founder, Mr. Robert Wright, has gone home to be with the Lord at the age of 90. In 1961, Mr. Robert and his brother James began building what would become Wright Brothers Construction Company, Inc., not only as a respected heavy civil contracting business but as a true legacy of faith, family, and a profound dedication to serving others. • Mr. Robert’s life was a testament to hard work, unwavering integrity, and deep Christian values. Through his leadership, he inspired each of us to walk humbly and serve diligently, knowing that everything we build here is for a greater purpose beyond ourselves. While we grieve his passing, we rejoice with heaven, where he has been welcomed home and has surely heard those beautiful words: "Well done, good and faithful servant." • Please keep his family in your prayers as we honor his memory and continue the work he began with steadfast faith. Excited to see our Wright Brothers PIE Center students shining today at the AGC East Tennessee “Go Build” Career Expo in Chattanooga! Our students are leading the way, explaining fall protection and proudly representing WB. The PIE Center program offers high school students a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn the ins and outs of construction while earning high school credits for graduation. Over 1-2 semesters, these students gain essential skills, OSHA accreditations, and soft skills necessary for success in the construction trades. These past few weeks have been some of the most demanding yet rewarding days throughout my career. Since the cleanup began in #WesternNorthCarolina, Wright Brothers has been trying to get aid to the families who are struggling. We have been collecting and transporting donations at various locations...and we have been awed by the outpouring from people far and wide! Communities from southwest Virginia collected over 2500 coats and two truck-and-trailer loads of supplies. From our friends in Little Rock, Arkansas, and McComb, Mississippi, an amazing outpouring of goods, semi trucks full of sleeping bags, water, non-perishable food, generators, diapers, clothing and more…all delivered or bound this week for #HurricaneHelene survivors. • Special thanks to Carolina Cat for your help in delivering goods to those affected. When Hurricane Helene swept through the community of Bat Cave, NC, it made the normally serene, knee-deep Rocky Broad River a raging torrent. Flooding ripped away U.S. 64 and part of the bridge that leads into the small town, leaving residents who live over the river stranded. Wright Brothers crews are currently building a temporary structure to reconnect the town, and a temporary foot bridge has restored access while construction is underway. But how do residents climb up and down the washed out bank? Wright Industrial Group LLC crews, headed by Heath Rogers, went to Bat Cave to assist by building a three-flight scaffold stair tower so that residents can safely navigate the steep embankment.
