The 2024 Power of Pink luncheon, emceed by 10 News Anchor Jenna Zibton, was a big success raising money for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. This year's keynote speaker was Kristen Dahlgren, an award-winning journalist turned Breast Cancer advocate and founder of the nonprofit Cancer Vaccine Coalition. The CVC's mission is to move science forward faster with a goal of getting a safe, effective breast cancer vaccine to market in 5 to 10 years.

Ask and advocate. That was the basis of my keynote speech at Sam Houston State University. I used those skills in college and still do as a journalist. Thank you for inviting me to the Orange Keys 65th anniversary! Thank you M. Brandon Cooper, MA, Dr. Chelsea K. Smith and Dr. Alisa White for the warm welcome home!
