As we observe World Mental Health Day, we reflect on the importance of mental well-being. At WSP, we believe it's okay not to be okay—and we're here to support each other. Understanding recent extreme weather events, we acknowledge how the physical toll of recent hurricanes profoundly impacts mental well-being, highlighting the need for comprehensive care during these challenging times. Today on World Habitat Day, we recognize the basic right of all people to adequate housing and living conditions. WSP is proud to continue our partnership with Habitat for Humanity International for our nationwide build across 30 sites this year. “Our work with Habitat for Humanity is a continuation of our focus for more than a century of helping communities achieve their greatest potential for health and safety, connectivity, prosperity, equity and resilience,” said Chris Peters, chief operating officer at WSP, who participated in the St. Louis build. As the urgency to tackle climate change escalates, leaders and changemakers are gathering at Climate Week NYC to discuss a wide range of topics, including the best methods to assess and reduce environmental impacts.
