As the leaves turn and the air cools, October reminds us of nature’s ever-changing cycles. It’s the perfect time to consider our relationship with our natural systems and to rethink how we manage and protect our precious resources. To that end, we’re excited to connect with the global water community at WEFTEC next week to explore more ways to create water resilience for a sustainable tomorrow. In this edition of “Future Ready Features,” we examine the built environment’s role in enhancing water supplies, lessons to overcome a water-constrained tomorrow, evolving water reuse technologies and holistic approaches to water management. #WEFTEC24 #Water #Sustainability #FutureReady #WeAreWSP

As the urgency to tackle climate change escalates, leaders and changemakers are gathering at Climate Week NYC to discuss a wide range of topics, including the best methods to assess and reduce environmental impacts. One robust tool in WSP’s sustainability toolkit is Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a systematic approach defined by ISO standards 14040 and 14044. Despite recent debates in the climate science community regarding its efficacy, WSP leaders maintain that LCA is crucial to navigating the complexities of environmental impacts and guiding organizations toward carbon neutrality. WSP's Julie Sinistore and Jonathan Balsvik share five key advantages of LCAs for organizations looking to reduce their carbon footprints, enhance sustainability practices and drive meaningful change.
