Our special guest today on the latest episode of the WWIA Podcast is a shining example of one of the many supporters and friends that we are honored to have as part of our WWIA family. WWIA Founder and CEO, John McDaniel, proudly welcomes Mr. Trent McCall. Trent is the Co-Host of the Truxton Turkey and Trout Event in Truxton, NY, in collaboration with Co-Hosts Ed and Laurie Poole, and guides Zeb Leach and Josh Streichert. Their event recently celebrated its 3rd year of honoring and serving Purple Heart Heroes in the historic Finger Lakes region. John and Trent share a wonderful conversation about what it means to host a WWIA event, Trent's vocation as a woodworker, maker of Four Leaf Custom Calls, and much more. 🎉⭐👏 Please join us in recognizing, congratulating, and thanking the WWIA Southern Vermont Chapter and their amazing community members and businesses who came together for their annual fundraising banquet dinner this past weekend at the Bennington Elks Lodge in Bennington, Vermont. Through the generosity and support of this outstanding community, they raised..... drumroll 🥁......$80,139.00 for our Purple Heart Heroes! UNBELIEVABLE! 😲 We are humbled and incredibly grateful for this remarkable effort! This is a record-setting amount for the Southern Vermont Chapter, who continue to raise the bar year after year through the generosity and dedication of so many Patriotic and selfless people. The Southern Vermont Chapter is a WWIA Medal of Honor Decorated Patron and with this year's remarkable fundraising result, they have now raised over $559,000 collectively for WWIA since 2013! WOW!! 🤯 What an astounding accomplishment in support of bringing Honor, Connection, and Healing to America's combat-wounded Veterans! That equates to having provided real services (valuable outdoor therapeutic recreation) to approximately 250 combat-wounded veterans across a thirteen year period. That is exceptional! 👏 A HUGE THANK YOU to Mike and Debbie Davenport for their tremendous efforts, hard work, coordination, and leadership in making these annual fundraisers exceed all expectations. In addition, we would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to all of this year's sponsors, donors, attendees, and volunteers for continuing to go above and beyond to support WWIA and our Purple Heart Heroes! 💜🔥👊 #WWIA #WWIASouthernVermontChapter ThankfulThursday

Today is Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. For 237 years, our United States Constitution has been the foundational bedrock on which we stand. Today commemorates that historic day, when the Framers of our Constitution signed this document on September 17, 1787, in Philadelphia, PA. #WWIA #ConstitutionDay #CitizenshipDay

Please join us in recognizing and thanking the Soo Lake Bar & Grill for hosting an amazing Labor Day Fundraiser to benefit WWIA and our Purple Heart Heroes. It was tons of fun in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, as this 2nd annual event featured a silent auction, a gun raffle, a scavenger hunt, a poker run, lots of great food (pizza & hot turkey sandwiches), drinks, and awesome music throughout the evening courtesy of The Freezers. Thanks to the generosity of the local patrons, the Soo Lake Bar and Grill WWIA Fundraiser donated $8,700.00 to help WWIA continue its mission to bring Honor, Connection, and Healing to our combat-wounded veterans. WOW! This stellar donation will go toward the 18th Annual Camp Hackett Event in Phillips, Wisconsin, which will take place this October. This fundraising event was a tremendous success and would not have been possible without the exceptional efforts of the following individuals: Mark and Kara Mahoney (owners of Soo Lake Bar & Grill), Scott Prescher, Bob Bolz, Jeff & Cindy Conger, Dan Gruenke, Randy Holler, Mike Holler, Dick Heitkemper, and Pat Schultz. Additional thanks to (Coulee Region), and to Jim Trone and Jason Rolling for donating guns for the raffle. THANK YOU ALL for your planning, hard work, and ingenuity in making this fundraiser so successful and fun! We are humbled and incredibly grateful for your outstanding support! Last, but certainly not least, a HUGE debt of gratitude to everyone who came out to support the event: the generous sponsors, the wonderful patrons, the awesome vendors, the gracious volunteers, and the hardworking staff. This is a testament to the generosity and patriotism of the local Northwoods community! See you again next year! 🥳🎶🍺💜 #WWIA
