Attending the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) event for the first time was a reframing experience. Being present and listening firsthand to world leaders, social entrepreneurs, and changemakers share their data, perspectives, and reflections on the world’s most pressing challenges was truly motivating. The strength of that in-person connection, combined with the call to action and the exchanges among attendees, created a dynamic environment that amplified the impact of every conversation. As I walked through the halls, engaged in conversations, and attended various panels, I felt both inspired and determined. Discussions on climate resilience, health equity, and the future of global food security resonated deeply, specially since these are areas where the Beta Impact Venture Fund aims to make a tangible difference in Latin America. However, alongside this inspiration, there was a recognition of the complexities that arise when politics and progress intersect in global discussions. 🚀 EVCF Argentina on the go! Last week, we kicked off the ARCAP Joven talk series, an initiative supported by Emerging Venture Capital Fellows and driven by a group of ARCAP (Asociación Argentina de Capital Privado, Emprendedor y Semilla) members, motivated by their interest in promoting discussion, exchange, and learning for members of the VC industry firms. The #ARCAPJoven talk series is designed to foster a space for networking, learning, and collaboration within the VC and CVC communities. It’s a great opportunity for anyone looking to deepen their knowledge and share valuable experiences within the venture capital ecosystem. In our first session, moderated by Juan Francisco de Carranza, Agostina Kobak - Investment Leader at Xeibo - addressed the key challenges in defining a startup's valuation range. The session was packed with practical insights and tools, including a few valuable contributions from Jacques Bléhaut, Xeibo’s GP, to continue enhancing our decision-making in the VC space. "Creemos que cuando el impacto está bien integrado al negocio, encontrará aliados resolutivos para superar cualquier barrera." 🚀♻️ En el marco del Foro de Capital Emprendedor en Córdoba, Ignacio Hyland representó a Beta Impacto en el panel "La Ola Ineludible: Nuevos paradigmas de inversión, Tecnología e Impacto," en el que también participaron Gabriela Cibils Bernardes y Eduardo Novillo Astrada (h) Astrada. Con la moderación de Olivia Pando, reflexionaron y debatieron sobre el paradigma de la inversión de impacto, la integración del impacto en el negocio y el doble rol que juega la tecnología como base y catalizador de modelos de negocio innovadores y escalables, que además resuelven desafíos sociales y ambientales de manera directa. 🌟 Organizado por la Agencia Córdoba Innovar y Emprender y ARCAP (Asociación Argentina de Capital Privado, Emprendedor y Semilla),  el Foro de Capital Emprendedor reunió en la ciudad de Córdoba a destacados referentes del ecosistema inversor-emprendedor, incluyendo organizaciones, fondos y empresas vinculadas al ecosistema de innovación nacional y regional. 🌅 Hace unos meses me sumé a Beta Impacto invitado por Santiago Moy, a quien no conocía previamente. Sin embargo, antes de unirme, invité a él y a Jacques Bléhaut de Xeibo , ambos fundadores de #Beta junto a #Sumatoria, a recorrer el #Barrio 3️⃣ 1️⃣ . Esto se debió a que tenía una ligera inquietud, una especie de zumbido interno, sobre unirme a un Venture Capital, ya que suelo decir que debemos avanzar a velocidad humana. Además, este era un VC de Impacto, ¿un oxímoron? 🌻 Durante esa recorrida, pude compartir nuestra historia, la de Pago24 y Trasa Arg🌈 y nuestro propósito. La recepción de su parte fue muy positiva, y el intercambio de 💡ideas me entusiasmó a creer en el proyecto. Les planteé la necesidad del apoyo de #TRASA para la inversión y la evaluación de proyectos de impacto en #Latam, y ellos aceptaron. Así que estaré colaborando desde un comité asesor. 🐝 Hace una semana tuvimos nuestro primer encuentro online, donde Matías Kelly, Fátima Ochoa, Ignacio Hyland, Jacques y Santiago me hicieron sentir que no me equivoqué al unirme a este ⛵ viaje. Estoy seguro de que habrá inversiones que emocionen y que resuelvan problemáticas sociales y ambientales, generando #Negocios🅱uenos.
