    Before you hit ‘Go’ on background checks, let's make sure your ducks are in a row. 🦆🦆🦆 Let’s prep like pros before you start cranking out screens. 1️⃣ Reflect on Your Priorities: What’s your endgame? Speed, accuracy, compliance? Thoroughly define your goals before you start. 2️⃣ Understand Background Checks: Background checks aren’t rocket science, but you do need to know what you’re dealing with. Take time to understand the different types of screens. 3️⃣ Get the Right People Involved: Identify key stakeholders and decision-makers. Loop in HR, legal, and any others who need to weigh in. 4️⃣ Understand Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: If you want to play the game, you have to know the rules. Don’t let blind spots trip you up. 5️⃣ Create a Background Check Policy: Everything needs to be in black and white. Have a documented process that everyone follows. 6️⃣ Choose a Background Check Vendor: Not all vendors are created equal. Pick one that offers incredible support, a modern platform, and scalability.
