Not only did they witness the action on the field, but they also got the incredible opportunity to meet Ellie, snag some autographs, and feel the energy of professional women’s soccer up close. A huge thank you to KC Current for hosting the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and giving these young athletes a night to remember. Darcy Swan and Paige Salveter represented the YMCA of Greater Kansas City for the Kansas City Ballet Business Council Night, featuring the performance of Don Quixote, alongside our incredible partners at the Kansas City Ballet, Chris Roady & Kim Trudell, M.Ed.! Seeing other business's support the mission and gather to learn of other companies who support the arts in our metro, was a fantastic night of art and networking. A special thank you to Devon Carney, Artistic Director and Executive Director, David Gray for his inspiring remarks and to the Kansas City Ballet for bringing world-class performances to our city. Celebrating Mary Shaw Branton, a trailblazer in Y history! 💚 As we mark 165 years of impact and celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth, we honor Mary Shaw “Shawsie” Branton, the first woman to chair the YMCA of Greater Kansas City Board of Directors. At 73, she stepped into leadership in 1994, expanding childcare services and paving the way for future women leaders.
