Unlocking Mobility Through Simple Practices Did you know that yoga can take on many forms, including fascia release using a tennis ball? Fascia is the connective tissue surrounding our muscles and organs, and when it becomes tight or restricted, it can lead to discomfort. This innovative approach allows practitioners to use a tennis ball to target specific areas, applying gentle pressure to release tension and enhance mobility. It emphasizes the importance of self-care and body awareness, showcasing that yoga can be as simple as rolling out tension with a small tool. This is just one example of what corporate yoga can look like! Bringing wellness practices like this into the workplace can make a significant difference in employee well-being and productivity. At Yoga's Arc, we specialize in integrating yoga and mindfulness into corporate environments. Let us support you in creating a healthier, happier workplace! Together, we can prioritize health and well-being for everyone. Reach out to Yoga's Arc, your mobile yoga company today! It Doesn't Matter What You Do, Just Do Something! "You can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water." - Rabindranath Tagore I remember at one Sales Convention back in the day when I sold nutritional products, one of our business coaches would say, it doesn't matter what you do to work towards your goal, just do something! This quote kind of feels like that blank stare when we see a list of all the things we need to accomplish and don't know where to start. Many times when we are in this predicament, we either: Fight by making it more difficult for ourselves. Why is it that sometimes we fight the tasks to the goal by talking ourselves out of it, telling us all the reasons why we can't accomplish it, and sabotaging the entire adventure? We "flight", by doing something off-topic which is usually procrastinating by picking up some non-productive habits. We freeze and waste precious time not knowing what to do, so we do nothing. This is usually done by staring at a screen or excessive sleeping and eating. The fourth parasympathetic nervous system reaction that can pour into our lives is now called "fawn" or people pleasing. This is usually done by saying "yes" to every person that reaches out and asks for anything, and answering every phone call from people who need you. Just like the quote says, we can't cross the sea by merely staring at the water (in this case freezing). There are things we can do to help us "cross the sea" in terms of accomplishing our goals and dreams by making sure we don't just stare at the water. We at Yoga's Arc use the Full Focus Planner system and will be implementing more systems (thank you WBENC and EOS) to make our sea crossing easier each day as we continue to bring more yoga to more people. What are you willing to do to cross your sea?? Reach out to learn more about us! Visit: https://lnkd.in/gwNepcYe #wellness #corporatehealth #phoenix

Getting Comfortable with Anger "Anger is that powerful internal force that blows out the light of reason." -Ralph Waldo Emerson Anger is important to allow and experience when it occurs.  From my counseling background, I was always taught that the sum of fear and sadness is anger.  We spend so much time pretending to not be scared or sad (how many times do we hear people say "Don't Cry" for example).  We could instead embrace and get comfortable with these emotions so we learn how to cope with them and how to respond when they come up.  If we don't, the next thing you know, we start getting more and more angry.  It builds momentum, and the outbursts feel relieving at first, but then we need to reflect on our actions to make sure we aren't hurting anyone along the way. Unfortunately, anger causes us to react vs reflect and the next thing you know we are unintentionally or intentionally hurting someone.  This is when we need to step up and reflect on what happened, take responsibility, and connect with those we hurt to try to explain what is happening along with an apology.  This practice in itself will help you connect to your emotions on a deeper level without being afraid to explore them. Did you know that this is what meditation is for?  It sure is!  We hang out by ourselves to pay attention to what is going on internally and be curious about any emotions without judgment.  We hope you will give it a try! Contact us if you're interested in exploring a meditation practice, we are here to support you andyour community. Visit: https://buff.ly/3XLDT4v #wellness #corporatehealth #phoenix

Yoga is not about competition or comparison; it's a practice of self-love, self-acceptance, and inner peace. Rather than striving to be the most flexible or strongest, yoga encourages us to connect with ourselves, honor our bodies as they are, and focus on our own journey. By approaching yoga with a mindset of self-love, we can transform our practice into a personal experience that nurtures our well-being and celebrates our progress, no matter where we are in our journey. Here are some ways to infuse your practice with self-love: 1. Set an Intention: Begin each session with an intention focused on self-love, such as "I will honor my body" or "I will be kind to myself." 2. Listen to Your Body: Pay close attention to how your body feels in each pose. Modify or take breaks as needed, trusting that your body knows what's best. 3. Release Judgment: Let go of any self-criticism. Yoga is not about perfection; it's about presence. Appreciate your body for its capabilities and be gentle with yourself. 4. Practice Gratitude: End your practice by thanking your body for all it does. Acknowledge the effort you've made, no matter how the session went. 5. Celebrate Your Practice: Whether your practice was intense or restful, celebrate it. Simply showing up on the mat is an act of self-love. On the mat, there is no race, no finish line—just you, your breath, and the beautiful journey of embracing yourself fully. Understanding Somatic Yoga: The Embodied Experience of Yoga Yoga is more than postures, breathwork, and meditation—at its core, it’s an embodied experience. Somatic yoga emphasizes internal body awareness, focusing on how the body feels from the inside. This approach encourages mindful, gentle exploration of movement and is particularly beneficial for those managing chronic pain, stress, or trauma. What is Somatic Yoga? Somatic yoga centers on internal awareness and sensations, prioritizing how your body feels rather than external alignment. Through slow, deliberate movements, breathwork, and mindfulness, it helps release tension, improve mobility, and strengthen the mind-body connection. This practice fosters healing and self-care by encouraging a compassionate approach. Somatic Elements in All Yoga Somatic principles are present in many yoga styles, particularly in **Yin** and **Restorative Yoga**, which target connective tissues. By holding poses longer, practitioners focus deeply on bodily sensations, promoting relaxation, healing, and emotional release. Embracing Somatic Awareness Consciously embracing somatic awareness can: - Deepen your connection with your body - Personalize your practice to prevent injury - Reduce stress and anxiety - Enhance physical and emotional healing Yoga’s Arc supports your journey with inclusive, accessible sessions tailored to your needs. Whether you seek physical fitness, stress relief, or personal growth, embracing the somatic essence of yoga can enrich your practice and foster a holistic sense of well-being.
