Earlier this month, Advocates for Community Health (ACH) released "The critical role of 340B at FQHCs." The report is a must-read, especially for those of us who understand the value health centers bring to their communities and the challenges they face doing so. The 340B Drug Pricing Program allows covered entities like FQHCs to get outpatient drugs at reduced prices, lowering drug costs for vulnerable patient populations. FQHCs rely on 340B not just as a cost-saving measure, but as a necessary revenue stream. As ACH says in the report, "The financial impact of these savings cannot be overstated, as they allow FQHCs to stretch their already scarce federal resources as far as possible, enhancing their services and expanding their reach in often overlooked communities." Read the report for more on: ➡️ How FQHCs are using 340B to enhance their services ➡️ Why 340B is becoming less reliable for FQHCs ➡️ Proposed solutions to protect FQHCs' ability to participate in 340B Huge thanks to Amanda Pears Kelly and the team at Advocates for Community Health for creating this robust report. https://lnkd.in/gWDbw7Y8 #FQHCs #CHCs #communityhealth #340B #VBC #valuebasedcare

We're people people, so we love the opportunity to meet face-to-face. This fall, the U.S. and India-based members of our technology team came together in India for a mix of team-building and strategizing. These are the talented folks making it possible for our FQHC partners to: ✔️ View a patient's full health history at the point of care ✔️ Access health data from multiple disparate sources in one complete profile ✔️ Navigate seamlessly through solutions integrated with existing EHRs ✔️ More efficiently and effectively engage patients with the help of a text messaging platform ✔️ Better identify, engage and care for their patients! Earlier in the year, many members of our team came together in Texas for our first in-person retreat. We're so grateful for the whole Yuvo team, dedicated to our mission of ensuring every community health center can provide compassionate care to their entire community. #VBC #valuebasedcare #healthit #CHCs #FQHCs #communityhealth

When you're one of our FQHC partners, we want you to see our team as an extension of your team. We love to come by to learn more about you and the people you serve, share successes and talk through challenges. Holly Oh, Trenair Royal MHA, PMP, PCMH CCE, Lynae Picou, MSHCT, BSN, RN, and Tasha Scott of our Performance Team spent last week joining several of our FQHC partners on-site. At Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, they couldn't help but notice how the colorful building sets the tone for the inclusive feel that permeates inside. #FQHCs #Healthcenter #communityhealth #CHCs

Breast cancer screening is particularly difficult for FQHCs due to challenges like understaffing, serving the nation’s most high-risk populations and a lack of resources that prevents them from extending their care to everyone in need. At Yuvo Health, we're focused on breaking through these barriers - and we're seeing the results! ⭐ ➡️ In this article (https://lnkd.in/eEFKNT3B), we spotlight our partnership with the team at Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, where we are supporting their efforts end-to-end to improve Breast Cancer Screening. Read how Yuvo Health Clinical Quality Outreach Manager Teresa Valerio and Performance Manager Trenair Royal MHA, PMP, PCMH CCE are making calls to patients and payers, submitting files to ensure the health center gets credit for the work they are doing and pitching in however they can to help the Addabbo team reach their goals. https://lnkd.in/eEFKNT3B #CHCs #FQHCs #FQHC #communityhealth #breastcancerscreening #populationhealth #HEDIS #healthcenters #VBC #valuebasedcare

National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) have compiled the latest numbers that demonstrate just how great of an impact community health centers have as the largest primary care network in the country. ⭐ 32.5 million patients (1 in 10 people) are served by CHCs, including 6.5 million dental health patients and 3.2 million behavioral health patients ⭐ 310,000 people are employed by CHCs ⭐ Historically underserved populations turn to CHCs for their health care, including: 1.4 million people experiencing homelessness, 9.4 million children, 419,000 veterans and 3.8 million patients over age 65. And that just scratches the surface. See more data from NACHC below.
🔥 Hot off the presses: Who do Community Health Centers serve? Our popular infographic is updated annually with new federal data about the patients served by health centers, the people who work at health centers, and more. Community Health Centers are nonprofit, patient-governed organizations that provide high-quality, comprehensive primary healthcare to people living in areas with few primary care providers. America's 1,500 community health centers serve a record 32.5 million people nationwide, representing the country's largest primary care network. Most importantly, CHCs serve 𝘢𝘭𝘭 people, regardless of income or insurance status, and stand as a critical lifeline for historically disenfranchised populations. National Primary Care Week shines a spotlight on the importance of primary care and the unique relationship primary care providers share with their communities. Nowhere are these relationships more pronounced than among community health centers. At Yuvo, many of us have been patients of CHCs and know firsthand the value of compassionate, quality care that health centers consistently deliver. That's what makes it so special for us to be able to partner with CHCs to create more sustainable futures. #NPCW #valuechcs #primarycareweek #communityhealthcenters #FQHCs #communityhealth #healthcenters
