Updates

  • ZAP recently supported more than 500 students in the Jefferson County School District (Colorado) by providing them with the essential school supplies they need for the year ahead. Through the collective efforts of our employees, we gathered more than 2,300 items, including backpacks, spiral notebooks, scissors and more. ZAP matched those donations, ultimately helping 522 students start the school year fully prepared. To make our school supply drive fun and even more impactful, we turned it into a friendly competition, combining various departments into teams. Special recognition goes to the Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering, and EI&C Design Team, which donated more than 1,800 items. We’re grateful for the generosity of our team and are proud to contribute to the success of students in our Lakewood community.

  • Safety is our top priority. Our site specific safety plan outlines clear safety and health requirements for every employee, subcontractor and visitor on our sites. We hold various types of safety meetings to maintain our high safety standards, including: • Daily tailgate meetings to review potential hazards. • Joint daily safety/coordination meeting with all onsite workers to make sure everyone understands the day’s activities and potential hazards. • Weekly supervisor meetings led by the project manager and integrated into progress meetings to address safety concerns. We work diligently every day to ensure a safe and healthy job site for all.

  • According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E standard, it's important to review and update your arc-flash analysis at least every five years or whenever there are significant changes to your equipment. An arc-flash analysis, along with proper labeling of electrical equipment, is the best way to comply with OSHA requirements, make sure your facility is up to date, and allow your team to work safely. ZAP’s Electrical Engineering Team performs detailed arc-flash analyses, thoroughly documents each evaluation in a formal engineering report, and provides clear labels that show the level of risk at each location.

  • Are you looking to: • Ensure accurate and complete measurements? • Streamline project timelines? • Minimize disruptions to production? Here’s how ZAP's 3D scanning technology can help. Our Leica BLK and RTC scanners use non-contact technology to capture accurate, detailed data without disrupting ongoing operations or requiring shutdowns. Our scanners capture millions of data points in minutes, giving you a detailed digital representation of your entire site quickly and comprehensively. Advanced software processes the scan data automatically, reducing the need for manual data compilation and verification, and delivering accurate measurements faster. With high-resolution point-cloud data, we ensure all critical measurements are captured accurately within your limited access windows, minimizing the need for follow-up visits. ZAP utilizes design professionals that not only know scanning but also know how the scans are used in the overall design process. This ensures the correct data is captured in the scan to minimize or eliminate potential interferences. We provide deliverables like native point-cloud files, Jet Stream viewer files, and Autodesk files, making it easy for your design teams to analyze and use the data effectively.

  • Material testing can help you pinpoint performance limitations in existing equipment. It can also support the selection of new equipment.    ZAP provides the following testing services to heavy industry, giving you insights needed to make informed decisions, reduce risks and streamline processes. Bond Work Index - this test determines how hard it is to grind materials, which is important in selecting the right milling equipment. It helps in designing efficient, cost-effective milling circuits, cutting down on energy use and equipment wear. Emissions Profiles - we measure the types and amounts of emissions produced during processing. This helps ensure you’re meeting environmental regulations and identifying ways to reduce emissions, improving your overall environmental impact. Assistance in Pilot & Demonstration Operations - we support small-scale testing to validate processes before they go into full-scale production. This reduces the risk of costly errors, helps optimize process parameters and speeds up development time. Reach out so we can support your goals with our material testing services.
