This Giving Tuesday, support radical public experimentation in collaboration with Zebras Unite, towards a more thriving economy for all. The nonprofit sector is largely constrained by narrow-focus, project-specific funding and Zebras Unite is developing more expansive possibilities in coalition with their community. General operating funding allows Zebras Unite to convene unlikely allies and run bold, community-led experiments shaping the next economy. Unrestricted, tax-deductible donations sustain Zebras’ core experimental infrastructure to launch new coalitions, prototype systems-change experiments, and develop community resource projects. We can't transform the economic system through business-as-usual funding. Join us as an ally in supporting deeper collaborations and bolder experiments to birth real alternatives! As we approach our time in Washington DC, we appreciate the rich history we are stepping into. DC has a long lineage of solidarity-based social enterprises launched by marginalized community working towards economic and political liberation. In 1907, W.E.B. DuBois spoke in favor of co-ops, which have remained a key strategy for equity. In the 1970s, community organizers started MLK Coop Store No. 2, the nation's first food co-op in public housing. As we prepare for #DazzleCon23, let's appreciate DC's legacy of more cooperative economics.
