Today, the ZEFES project was presented during the session on Zero Emission Systems for HDV at the RTR Conference! The project coordinators did not only showcase the latest achieved results, but also highlighted some key challenges we are facing in the project. This includes the energy infrastructure, the harmonisation of legal frameworks in the EU memberstates (like the Directive on Weights and Dimensions), and the Digital Twin platforms. In our latest coffee break interview, Nikhil Muthakana from HAN University of Applied Sciences discusses his work in vehicle dynamics modeling, heavy-duty vehicle automation, and the interaction between vehicles and infrastructure. He highlights how his team is developing tools to simulate vehicle performance at critical road sections like roundabouts and ramps and how these tools could improve safety and efficiency in transport. We’re pleased to introduce Marcel Huschebeck in our coffee break, a researcher with over 20 years experience at PTV Group, driving research in logistics and decarbonization. 👏   Marcel focuses on electrifying logistics fleets, fostering collaboration, and decarbonization.
