After its successful international debut at London and Paris Fashion Weeks in 2023, FabriX Digital Fashion Roadshow returns to the global fashion epicenter, Paris, again this year. A #fashiontech highlight from my recent trip to Paris Fashion week was Fabrix, a Hong Kong Government 香港政府 supported #digitalfashion initiative back for their 2nd season in Paris with an updated #AR try-on kiosk at Palais de Tokyo. 🌟 shin huang, the creative mastermind behind the initiative, has been pioneering new ways for #AR to be implemented, not just at point of sale, but at point of wholesale, allowing buyers to preview collections from emerging designers with "See Now – Try Now – Buy Now" concept. 🤝 The digital fashion initiative has partnered with Avery Dennison for cool NFC enabled digital IDs, Genesis- One for fashion commerce infrastructure, DRESSX for 3D digitising the fashion and ZERO10 for their proprietary #ARmirror solution. ⛓️ The kiosk showcased digital fashion from six emerging designer brands, including Bianca Saunders, Charles de Vilmorin, Florentina Leitner, Paolina Alexandra Russo, Ponder.er and Wilsonkaki. 👗 You could virtually try on digital outfits, take photos, and preorder pieces from the physical collection and of course buy exclusive designs for Roblox avatars. I had the pleasure of attending "Burberry: Our History Through Innovation" as part of Leeds Digital Festival 2024, and it was an absolutely fabulous and informative event! The event showcased a series of interactive stands and talks, each highlighting the innovative technology that Burberry is leveraging to push the boundaries of fashion. Some of the most notable experiences included: ◼ Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock: A collaborative effort with Burberry led to the creation of an incredible interactive AI model, complete with Proto Hologram holographic screens. This model could answer questions about Burberry's rich history and showcase select collections in a visually stunning way. ◼ Verizon Business: Their interactive AR screen from ZERO10 allowed attendees to virtually try on some of Burberry's iconic clothing items, adding a fun and personal touch to the experience. ◼ Capgemini: In partnership with Burberry, they developed a creative AI camera that seamlessly integrated iconic styles from the 1920s to the 1960s with your own face, producing beautifully realistic and timeless images. ◼ EPAM Systems: They transported us to a breathtaking Scottish scenery environment via a virtual catwalk, showcasing some of Burberry’s iconic outfits. The experience was made even more engaging with a unique interactive mouse that allowed us to use hand gestures to control our viewpoints on the catwalk. It was great catching up with the wonderful Estelle Pearce & Amy Fisher from the Digital Fashion Space!
