We have achieved a major breakthrough in aerospace fuel cell systems! Our SuperStack Flex LTPEM fuel cell architecture has been tested at over 1.0 kW/kg specific net power at the full system level. For more information, check out our press release and download the brochure here: https://lnkd.in/eVgemVPh These outstanding test results were made possible by our innovative use of additive manufacturing techniques. This approach has significantly reduced the weight and volume of key components in the SuperStack Flex’s balance of plant. The SuperStack Flex is a modular fuel cell power generation platform that can be scaled up to 600kW of continuous power. It is designed to be an optimal solution for many UAVs and has potential applications across aerospace, marine, and ground vehicles.

"Why is hydrogen so crucial for sustainable aviation?" "It is the best energy carrier to deliver electric propulsion for large commercial aircraft and we absolutely must get to non-combustion propulsion solutions to be truly sustainable. Fuel cells also offer greater efficiency and superior economics. Crucially, it’s not a solution that is 2035 and beyond. We are talking about 2026 for the first commercial routes and the technology and infrastructure will scale from there." "The best way to do it, is to just do it. Start with Part 23, make tangible things happen and then convince people that the technology and infrastructure are possible.” ZeroAvia CEO Val Miftakhov addresses the Clean Aviation Annual Forum in Brussels, joining a panel alongside Sabine Klauke (CTO, Airbus), Eric Dalbiès (CTO, Safran), Florian Guillermet (Executive Director, EASA) and Marco Protti (Head of Advanced Research, Leonardo).

  • Meet Our Most Flexible Hydrogen Fuel Cell System Read about the applications here: https://lnkd.in/eB7HQ4Zz For electric UAVs, eVTOL and fixed wing aircraft designs, the promise of lower cost and cleaner operations is tempered by concerns over flight duration. Limited by battery energy density, operators face shorter missions, frequent refuelling, and disrupted operations, ultimately limiting the impact of their novel designs. ZeroAvia’s SuperStack Flex hydrogen fuel cell system changes the game. Designed to extend range, enhance endurance, and deliver reliable performance in diverse conditions, our breakthrough fuel cell technology fills a critical gap in the market. Longer flights, greater efficiency, and uninterrupted progress. #electricaviation #hydrogen #zeroavia

Meet the SuperStack Flex! 👇 Download a brochure here: https://lnkd.in/eN3Z2AQK The ZeroAvia SuperStack Flex is a modular fuel cell power generation platform which can be configured up to 600kW. The lightweight, aviation optimized balance-of-plant, has been developed as a best-fit approach for many Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) with further potential applicability across aerospace and in marine and ground vehicles. As well as its flexibility for different power requirements, the SuperStack Flex design enables separation of the core systems, meaning it can be highly versatile and efficient to integrate into different airframes, overcoming space constraints.

  • Our high-power inverter stands out as the best in its class, meticulously engineered from the ground up for aerospace applications. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/ebngUDH3 Key features include: ⚙️Maximum power of 225kW ⚙️Compatibility with various DC sources ⚙️Independent torque-sharing topology ⚙️Advanced thermal management technologies The inverter is a core part of our complete electric propulsion systems, integrating with ZeroAvia's 600kW ZA600 and 900kW Hypercore motors.

  • Our 600kW electric motor is a step change for aviation. Download a data sheet here: https://lnkd.in/ejfUm3XM ZeroAvia’s first e-motor is a 660kW max power, surface permanent magnet based high-efficiency machine, specifically designed for direct drive installations mounted to the propeller. The motor features world-leading stator and rotor technology, designed and produced following aerospace standards, delivering high-power density and weight reduction. Advanced thermal management, via optimized direct motor cooling using industry standard turbine oil, enables efficient heat transfer within the motor. This allows it to run cooler and for longer, with integrated thermal sensors for coil temperature monitoring. Its stator core is divided into 4 sections, enhancing fault tolerance and allowing higher input current from the inverters.

February is off to a flying start with another major milestone for the team! We have successfully finalized an agreement for the first standalone sale of our 600kW Electric Propulsion System (EPS) with Jetcruzer International LLC! The development unit EPS will play a crucial role in their flight testing of the Jetcruzer 500E. The development unit is scheduled for delivery this Spring. The Jetcruzer 500E is set to be one of of the first type-certificate aircraft to successfully fly with an all-electric propulsion system developed by ZeroAvia, marking a major breakthrough in aviation innovation. This is a major validation of the component offering ZeroAvia launched last year to serve the market for novel electric air transport applications. Our commitment to deep vertical integration in development of our full powertrain technology is paying off as we have amassed a range of IP and a portfolio of valuable fuel cell and electric propulsion components that have a strong market in their own right.
