Members of our Leadership Team recently visited Mexico to meet with customers, colleagues, and animal health industry leaders. Ensuring the health of livestock in this country is vital to farmers' livelihoods and the global food supply. Our Leadership Team saw first-hand how our innovation contributes to the health of farm animals to meet a growing demand for sustainable protein sources. Not only is Mexico an important market for livestock, but with the country’s increasing pet ownership, our innovation supports the growing appreciation for the human-animal bond. This visit allowed our team to immerse themselves in the culture and foster significant connections that will advance our commitment to animal health globally. #AnimalHealth

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Danone to drive sustainable practices on dairy farms through the power of genetics. Through producer adoption of genetic technology, we deliver data-driven genetic insights to farmers so they can breed and select for healthier, more productive cows that improve the quality of dairy products while reducing environmental impact and promoting long-term resilience in dairy farming. This is one way we’re innovating to support livestock producers as they raise healthy animals that produce nutritious protein in a sustainable way. As part of our commitment to a healthier, more sustainable future, we take a One Health approach to combating diseases that pose the greatest risk to animals and people. Rabies is one such zoonotic disease, with 99% of cases transmitted from dogs to people. The World Health Organization estimates that rabies kills 59,000 people each year, with 95% of cases in Africa and Asia. We’re proud to have supplied our rabies vaccine to Cameroon, Central African Republic, Indonesia, Nigeria and Togo to vaccinate dogs and help protect communities. Our team members recently participated in the World One Health Congress – held for the first time on the African continent – to share our learnings and dialogue with other leaders about the important intersection of animal and human health. Improving animal health can help improve the lives of the people who care for them. By integrating veterinary surveillance, research, vaccine and product development, we can help reduce the risks of transboundary and emerging infectious diseases, as well as stop the spread from one species to another. We don't meet our sustainability goals or help our customers achieve theirs alone. We collaborate with organizations like Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) and Texas A&M University to study real farm data to better understand the connection between high health herds and farm sustainability. Together, we're strengthening the tools available to farmers that offer additional insights to evaluate their herd health and impact on their operations’ environmental goals for a better future for all. As #ClimateWeekNYC is winding down, we know our collaborative work must continue. Learn more in our Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/d_D2gE6s

Climate change exacerbates natural disasters, making them more frequent, powerful, and unpredictable. This underscores the urgent need for stronger disaster preparedness and community support. As part of Zoetis’ dedication to providing care for communities impacted by disasters around the world, we came together to support the American Red Cross through a MapSwipe volunteer event. Colleagues gathered virtually and in-person at Zoetis’ HQ to help bolster map data in areas where mobilizing essential resources in times of crisis can be challenging. This improved data empowers humanitarian efforts to engage and support communities more effectively, ensuring timely aid and stronger collaboration globally. #ClimateWeekNYC

#ClimateWeekNYC has just begun and three key topics on the agenda are energy, food and transport. Within these three areas, we've made significant strides by:  -Sourcing renewable electricity. -Developing a solution to protect against resistant parasites in cattle that can help reduce their environmental impact. -Increasing hybrid and electric vehicles in our fleet. With an eye toward continuous improvement, we're making meaningful strides toward a healthier, more sustainable future. Learn more in our Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/ewtcSZwm
