This week on our Engaged with Team Zola series, meet Madelyn Flinn! Madelyn has been with Zola since 2018, with a wide variety of experience. She started as a Senior Financial Analyst, then pivoted to our Associate Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff roles, before landing in Strategic Finance.

We're thrilled to share that we've been named to Fast Company's 2023 Brands That Matter List! This award honors brands that demonstrate purpose, cultural relevance and impact. We're particularly proud to be recognized in the Current Events category, for our work to take action to protect marriage equality during critical moments over the past year. Zola has always, and will always continue to stand for marriage equality. Whether it's the right to have their love recognized legally or to receive services from wedding vendors, we will continue to serve as an advocate for all couples. Weddings are the celebration and recognition of love and we will always be a partner, voice and support system for couples for every day of the wedding planning journey. We're happy to share that Zola's Co-CEO, Rachel Jarrett, has joined the Board of Tech:NYC, alongside 60 other tech leaders in New York. Rachel will support and guide the organization through a crucial next phase of growth. We're proud to have an office in NYC, and will keep working towards the best future for our city.

Zola Baby, the baby registry that has it all, has arrived in the iOS app store and is now available to download here: https://lnkd.in/eK6qW_ay Over the years, one of the top requests from our Zola couples has been a baby registry. This delivery marks a major milestone in our journey to be there for all the days along the way in key life stages. As the leading and most trusted wedding planning platform, we are thrilled to finally be able to provide parents with the same level of innovation, support, convenience and expertise that engaged couples love and trust us for. Zola Baby features a curation of the most recognized brands in this category from UPPAbaby to OXO to Lovevery, and many parallel product features that couples will recognize such as our countdown widget and controlled shipping functionality. A huge thanks to the innumerable couples who asked us in many ways over the years to launch Zola Baby, and who continue to be our inspiration to disrupt categories and build innovative tools. We can't wait to keep growing with you. 

Here at Zola, we are passionate about developing future leaders! We recently had the pleasure of hosting nearly 40 students participating in Generation Code, a tech program for local Newark, New Jersey high schoolers, developed by Rutgers University - Newark in partnership with Prime Factors Lab. These students got to learn more about what it's like to work at a start up tech company from our CTO Felix Lung, Product Manager Himadri Narasimhamurthy, and Lead Engineer Joyce Wang. We are always thrilled to have the next generation of CEOs, CTOs, Product Managers, and other startup leaders walk through our office!

This week in our Engaged with Team Zola series, we're excited to introduce Tyesha Tirado! Tyesha has been on the Zola Finance team for 4.5 years, starting as AP Staff and growing to Accounting and Cash Management Associate.

Last month our NYC and Montreal teams got together for our annual Zola Summer Party! Our Montreal team took a speedboat ride followed by bites & games, and our NYC team headed to Amity Hall for great food, drinks, and a fun time! We love taking this time to catch up with our teams and celebrate everyone's work and dedication to Zola.
