About us

Located in the heart of Downtown Seattle, Zombie Studios was formed in 1994 by Joanna Alexander and Mark Long, formerly of the Sarnoff Research Center in Princeton, and has designed and produced over 28 games for worldwide distribution on virtually every major gaming platform. Today Zombie Studios is headed by Joanna Alexander as CEO with Jared Gerritzen Creative Studio Head and Andy Kipling as Director of Production. Over the last 18 years, Zombie Studios has cultivated a diverse portfolio of publishing relationships. Our partners have included: Microsoft, Disney, Activision, Ubisoft, Konami, Take2, the US Army and most recently delving into the Free to Play market space with Perfect World Entertainment. Zombie Studios’s titles and development experience span a wide range of product genres including first person shooters like Blacklight: Tango Down and America’s Army, survival horror like Saw and even casual and arcade games like Frogger. With such a wide range of product development it follows that Zombie’s target markets are equally varied: include hardcore and core gamers, casual and family gamers, as well as value gamers. In addition to our genre and market diversity, Zombie Studios develops for a wide variety of gaming platforms including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PCs, iOS and Android.
