🛫✈️ Every year, bird strikes cause up to $1.2 billion in damage to airplanes worldwide, resulting in engine failures, emergency landings, and more. Shockingly, the U.S. alone records 16,000 bird strikes annually, posing a significant risk to aviation safety. 🌍 97% of these incidents occur at airports during takeoff and landing, while the remainder happen at cruising altitudes, even as high as 30,000 ft above ground level. 🐦 Most strikes involve birds being sucked into jet engines, resulting in their unfortunate shredding.
