Growing a commercial loan portfolio in this existing economic environment is a tough task especially the last 1-2 years. 10 years anniversary riding Wells Fargo’s stagecoach 🐎 A decade of professional financial experience. I've been through 4 CEOs, been part of 3 groups across Consumer, Small & Business Banking, worked my way up out of 1 location, held 11 volunteer roles, had 5 job titles, worked under 12 managers and currently leading over 200 team members to do things right. A few things I've learned: Be flexible. Don't get use to do things one way. Focus on developing and using your strengths. Never think you’re done learning. Make connecting with others a priority. Learn how to change the situation, not the person. Make people feel cared for and recognized. Gratitude is a win-win. Be yourself!

Colossal #bank #merger alert! UMB Financial Corp/UMB Bank is set to acquire HTLF (Heartland Financial USA) in an all-stock deal worth $2 billion. The deal will create a combined $65 billion-in-assets entity with a 13-state footprint and nearly 5,500 employees. Notably, Heartland had been an active acquirer themselves and currently operates banks within an 11-state footprint under several divisions including Minnesota Bank & Trust, a division of HTLF Bank, Wisconsin Bank & Trust, a division of HTLF Bank, and Arizona Bank & Trust, a division of HTLF Bank, among others. Exciting news... and a harbinger of what's to come??? And lastly- will this deal actually close???
