The VISTA member’s overall goal at the Western New York Law Center will be to expand the number of Law Center volunteers by developing and implementing strategies to increase brand awareness and client engagement, as well as managing the company's public relations and marketing efforts. The VISTA member will work to create a database within our case management system which will track the number of volunteers, hours worked, cases worked on, projects worked on and completed, and the result to the organization. The VISTA member will work with our marketing team to get the word out about the Law Center and work on efforts to recruit new volunteers looking to serve as paralegals, student interns and attorneys.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will focus their efforts on increasing the number of CLARO (Civil Legal Advice and Resource Office) clinic volunteers. The benefit of CLARO is that this legal support provided enables individuals and families to retain more money in their pockets allowing them to better meet their basic daily needs. By recruiting more volunteers, the VISTA member with CLARO Buffalo, will work to serve more people and thus, working towards the shared goal to alleviate poverty.
