Job Summary

As part of a growing eCommerce team, PetWise is looking for a Paid Search, SEM/PPC Manager.

The PPC Manager will create, manage, and analyze advertising campaigns on Amazon, Walmart, Chewy, Etc. Our focus for this role will primarily be on managing Amazon Ads - however having experience across multiple marketplaces is a plus. A successful Manager will work with the eCommerce team, Brand Marketing Team, and Innovation teams to launch campaigns, increase efficiency in current advertising and marketing campaigns, maximize ROI٫ analyze/report on campaign performance, and ultimately assist the performance marketing team’s lower funnel ad efficiency. The right candidate will love lower funnel advertising and be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments.This is an individual contributor role.


Overview of the Role

Duties & Responsibilities 

Campaign Management:

• Ownership over creation, launching, and managing Amazon PPC campaigns, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, DSP to meet company objectives.

• Conduct keyword research and optimize ad targeting to maximize campaign performance.


Bid Management:

• Monitor and adjust keyword bids to achieve optimal ad placement, return on ad spend (ROAS), sales, and total ROAS (TROAS).

• Implement bid strategies and budget allocation based on company goals.


Keyword Research and Optimization:

• Perform in-depth keyword research to identify high-converting and relevant search terms.

• Continuously optimize keyword lists, ad copy, and product listings to improve campaign performance.


Data Analysis:

• Analyze campaign data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Generate reports and provide insights to key stakeholders on campaign performance.


Competitor Analysis:

• Conduct competitive research to stay informed about market trends and competitor strategies.

• Develop strategies to outperform competitors on Amazon.


Budget Management:

• Manage provided advertising budgets effectively, ensuring campaigns stay within allocated budgets while maximizing results.


Amazon Advertising Platform Expertise:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest changes and features on the Amazon Advertising platform.

• Leverage advanced Amazon tools and technologies to optimize campaigns.


Strategic Planning:

• Develop, present, and execute advertising strategies aligned with company objectives and industry best practices.

• Identify opportunities for account/brand expansion and growth.


Team Collaboration:

• Work alongside our performance marketing team, eCommerce, and Brand Marketing teams to achieve KPI’s.

• Work with campaign managers to optimize campaigns and budgets through disciplined analysis for the best possible ROAS and sales growth.


How Will Your Time Be Spent?

Here’s an approximate breakdown of how you’ll spend your time:

25% on Analysis – Campaign, ad group, ad performance data across various KPI’s to pinpoint actionable insights to inform strategy. Using data/analysis to optimize campaigns, keywords, bids, etc.

25% on Strategy – Develop and launch new campaigns, scale existing campaigns, test new placements, buying, optimization strategies, etc.

25% on Execution – Building, configuring, managing, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting your campaigns, ad groups, ads, and experiments in-platform.

15% on Reporting – Summarizing performance data for key stakeholders, daily reporting dashboards, flagging performance inefficiencies, ad hoc reporting.

10% on Collaboration - Work with performance marketing team and other internal teams to achieve team KPI’s.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 3+ years of experience in eCommerce advertising.

• 2+ Amazon Ad Experience - Autonomously Managing $1M+ Spend Annually.

• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment.

• Must be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and be able to prioritize accordingly.

• Experience interpreting, analyzing, and reporting on data trends, and making strategic and creative recommendations based on findings

• Experience presenting analytics reports in a clear, effective, and dynamic manner to key stakeholders.

• English


Experience Preferred:

• Experience with eCommerce Advertising Software (Pacvue, Perpetua, Skai, Etc).

• Amazon DSP and other Ad Display Placement experience.

• Project Management Software (Asana, Notion, Monday, Etc).

• Familiarity with the pet industry.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize, compile compelling narratives, simplify and explain complex problems to different audiences.

• Experience influencing strategy through data-driven analysis and presentations

• Certifications (Google, Facebook, Amazon) are a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.

Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.

SALARY RANGE:

The base salary range is $80,000-$100,000 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, location, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
