NORTHERN HASEROT “The Midwest's Leading Independent Food-Service Distributor since 1878” is seeking to hire 3rd shift Warehouse/Operations Supervisors!
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday with a 6:00 pm or 11:00 pm start time.
Job Summary
The primary duties of this position are to assist in the management and leadership of the 3rd shift warehouse team, as well as sharing the responsibility with other supervisors to:
Job Responsibilities
Supervise a labor staff of 35-40 Union employees
Utilize company WMS to manage labor and inventory
Oversee the timely completion of the picking process
Supervise order fulfillment and daily cross-docking of product
Assign and oversee department cleanliness throughout three separate temperature zones (dry, cooler, freezer)
Interact and support sales team with product availability
Support delivery driver check out process
Lead by example in following company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Ability and Willingness to work hands on with the team to meet deadlines
Experience/Qualifications
5-years of experience in warehouse distribution- perishable product preferred
Working knowledge of Office 365/Microsoft Word & Excel
Demonstrate a general understanding in the following areas:
Warehouse Management Systems
Inventory Control
Shipping & Receiving
Leadership and Interpersonal Skills in a Diverse Work Environment
Hiring, Training, and Personnel issues
Ability to Multitask and Prioritize
Work with a sense of urgency and a result driven mindset
