Job Qualifications: Arizona Elementary or Secondary Teaching certificate with Middle Grades English Language Arts or English as an approved area. SEI endorsement preferred. Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
Employment Information: 2024-25 school year; 194 work days (216 day teacher calendar)
Start Date: July 10, 2024 (New Teachers)

Future Requirement: Literacy Endorsement (unless you hold a Reading K-8, Reading K-12 or Reading Specialist K-12 endorsement)
Timeline
Teachers who were certified on or before 8/1/2025 have until 8/1/2028 to obtain the literacy endorsement.
Teachers who certify after 8/1/2025 will have 3 years from certificate issuance to obtain the literacy endorsement.
Teachers who graduate from AZ colleges in 2025 should have completed the coursework and should have the certificate on their licenses.
