Bell Maintenance Team – Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Bring your experience and become part of a small, dedicated maintenance team, supporting Bell customers out of our OEM Facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this position you’ll serve as part of a “one stop shop” for a variety of commercial rotorcraft services, performing tasks from small avionics upgrades to complete aircraft rebuilds. You’ll be able to demonstrate your technical abilities by performing tasks as aircraft inspections, repairs, maintenance, fabrications, installations, and post-maintenance test flights.

What you’ll be doing as a A&P Mechanic (Entry Level)

In this role, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes and engines in accordance with FAA 145 requirements. You will also perform major sheet metal repairs and fabricate sheet metal and composite parts when needed. You will also perform additional tasks such as installing kits and assisting with fly-offs. You will ensure all work is performed in accordance with all instructions, regulatory requirements, and company policies, and properly document all work performed.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • FAA A&P Certificate is required
  • Additional experience related to job duties may be a plus, and could qualify selected candidate for offer at a higher level/salary grade.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High school degree or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
  • Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
