Oscar de la Renta has an exciting job opportunity for an experienced Account Executive who can drive and assist our robust accessories business, from product development to account management. The Account Executive will also support larger selling initiatives for the global Direct to Consumer network. Reporting to Senior Manager, Buying & Merchandising, this role will be based in our midtown Manhattan corporate office.


Description of Responsibilities

  • Proactively and strategically managing business from market sales through to the customer sale at point-of-sale for all categories of accessories
  • Driving strong full price sell-through with Global Department and Specialty Stores; Source and develop new relationships as necessary
  • Own market appointments & Wholesale orders/OTB as well as Own in-season account relationships FOR FJ/Handbags (DTC & Wholesale) and off-price
  • Manage samples from development and photoshoots, to market and ad-hoc pulls
  • Strategic planning to increase comp business for existing accounts
  • Proactively drive business on the selling floor, trunk shows, events, training sales team, control brand execution, merchandising and analyze retail prices for ODLR’s competition
  • Own seasonal selling & feedback: Analysis of retail sales, sell-through, best/slow sellers, opportunities, re-orders, and planning for sales, marketing and promotions


Required Skills

  • Experience with high-end accessories and account management
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals to achieve optimal business results
  • Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a passion for the fashion industry
  • Strong, positive verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work
  • Able to travel as needed
